Hello!
My name is Meredith Kratochwill and I am a recent graduate of the University of Michigan, where I pursued a dual degree between the Stamps School of Art & Design, concentrating in animation and video, and the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, majoring in Film, Television, and Media with a sub-major in Screenwriting.
Ever since I began painting, I have known that I want to pursue a career in the arts. My experience in the Rhode Island School of Design Pre-College Program as a painting major confirmed this goal.
I was always interested in film and animation, and I first had the opportunity to work with these mediums during my foundation courses at Stamps. Although I have since distanced myself from two-dimensional fine art, my experience working with these mediums has given me a unique skill set to apply to my time-based work.
For animation, I work most prominently in Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro. However, I love experimenting with incorporating traditional media as well. For my lens-based work, I have experience working with Panasonic camcorders, Canon cameras, and 16 mm film.
Feel free to reach out! I am always open to commissions and collaborations.
